Our first warm day this season peaking at 34C as we put one mob of 200 heifers then their calves through our new yards for their scheduled drench/vaccination program. The day ended with a decent thunderstorm and temperature plunge of some 17 degrees, but thats St.Fillan farming for you. Thanks to Matt Birch, Fraser, & Lynton Harrison from Corcoran Parker Mansfield as we tested out our newly designed/constructed yards and holding pens. All worked (pretty much) to plan. A few ‘tweaks’ and we will be ready for the next mobs.
